what is a fanlisting?

To quote TFL.org, "A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are); they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not official) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans."

who are "romeo and juliet"?

Romeo and Juliet are the two ill-fated, star-crossed lovers in Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet." Here's a snippet of what I wrote in my application to adopt this fanlisting from the previous owner, Emma-Jane:

"Romeo & Juliet redefine the whole "idea" of a love story. They were young, innocent, and somewhat naive, and more than ready to fall in love. They found each other exactly when they needed each other (Romeo in order to get over Rosaline, and Juliet in order to not have to marry Paris) and the story of their love and their tragedy is heartbreaking, yet utterly beautiful. It's a relationship I've admired as long as I can remember, and their story is so timeless. To die for love - some would argue that isn't romantic because you are no longer living to be in love, but as a romantic at heart, I think that's one of the most noble things you can do for love because you are giving up all you can give up for love. And Romeo and Juliet both did that for each other, and that's where the true beauty and love from their story come from - their ultimate sacrifice for love."
